Optique Durable

We do not come to Optique Durable by chance. Indeed, this shop near Bastille is specialized in vintage glasses, and has a collection of more than 2,000 pairs of glasses from the 40s to the 90s, and almost all of them are made in France.

As a real enthusiast, David Benhaim, the owner of the shop and optician for many years, completed his collection over the years, especially by buying some stocks of vintage glasses from different small manufacturers based in Jura, the birthplace of eyewear.

Solar or eyeglasses, all models are rare. Butterflies, Hollywood star glasses, or more discreet, all pairs have a touch of originality and uniqueness.

Selecting and checking his models carefully, David Benhaim is able to do miracles and give a new freshness to the frames. Indeed, even if the glasses were never worn (they are New Old Stock) and therefore have no traces of wear, the materials can go through bad times over the years.

The layout of the store was well thought out in a vintage spirit too, and even some furnitures and equipments have been found in old manufactures. Finally, it is worth noting that Optique Durable also offers all services of a classical optician, glasses, mounting, vision control... and Social Security reimburses part of the expenses, as well as complementary health, depending on the guarantees provided.
